The SimTether client app is a one-time purchase through Google Play that unlocks the app permanently — no subscription and no expiry. The bridge app is free and open source.
Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy — we don't process payments ourselves and can't issue refunds directly; Play handles them. Given how Android background limits and power management vary across manufacturers and devices, we recommend testing pairing, SMS delivery, calls, and service persistence on your phones within Google Play's refund window.
Remote access through our hosted relay is a best-effort service provided at no charge. We may change, suspend, or discontinue it at any time, and we may introduce a charge for hosted relay access in the future. The app purchase does not include any commitment that hosted relay access remains free or available.
What is guaranteed: local and hotspot modes require no paid service, and you can always run your own relay using the open-source software. The app never depends on our infrastructure to function. If the hosted relay stops or becomes paid, nothing else about the app changes.
SimTether is for forwarding your own SIM's SMS and calls between phones you own or control. You must not use it to monitor, intercept, or forward another person's messages or calls without their knowledge. The bridge phone displays a persistent notification whenever the service is active — that visibility is intentional and must not be disabled to conceal the service from the phone's owner. Interception of communications you are not a party to is illegal in most jurisdictions.
SimTether forwards data — it does not modify, spoof, or circumvent device or network registration requirements. The SIM must remain in a legally registered device. You are responsible for complying with the telecommunications regulations that apply in your country.
The apps are provided "as is". They relay your own carrier traffic; SMS delivery, call behaviour, and USSD/service-code support depend on your carrier, SIM, and phone manufacturer — we can't guarantee carrier behaviour. Battery-management systems on some phones (Xiaomi, Oppo, others) can kill background services; the app shows health warnings for this but the device's owner is responsible for the manufacturer's settings. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for missed messages, missed calls, or carrier charges.
